In health care, social care, and education organizations serving tens of millions of people in the United States and United Kingdom.

High energy driving force, creative in his thinking

"Kev Khayat brings a high energy, driving force for change to the table. He works collaboratively to help identify challenges, problem solve barriers, and reach the end result. Definitely not a sit on the sidelines guy, Kev is creative in his thinking, seeks a win for the organization, and drives home possibilities beyond the imagination!”

Detail oriented, goal driven, open dialog

"I found Kev to be highly professional, analytical, team oriented, process improvement oriented and goal driven. During our time of working together, Kev and I developed a trusted relationship that allowed us to engage in open dialog to discuss options and strategies that would ensure our success in our projects regardless the ownership of responsibility.

Kev is a detailed oriented executive who partners in the improvement of operations while building strong teams of support that contribute to cost savings, improved efficiency and effectiveness."

Real, do-able actions, believes in the work

“Kev is really good at helping leaders and their teams create the big picture and then turning it in to real, do-able actions.  If necessary, he'll get in the trenches with you and make it happen because he believes in the work and the people doing it.  He knows when to challenge and when to support.  And he smiles all the time, which is really annoying (LOL)!”

True oracle, sounding board, sense of humor

"Kev is a true oracle!  His counsel has been invaluable to me.  He's an outstanding sounding board and understands how to unpack, restate, and reframe dilemmas one is facing.  Kev instinctually know what questions to ask and when to ask them.  He has a lovely wit and a well-placed sense of humor."

Stephanie Myers

Appropriate strategy, aligned tactics

“Kev has an appreciation for all the necessary components that need to be implemented and followed to ensure that the  organization has developed an appropriate strategy and aligned tactics necessary to be successful meeting organizational objectives and goals.”

Common sense genius for cutting through the unimportant

"If you value common sense, practical problem solving and the ability to provide solutions for both short term and long term problems then there is no better person to help you than Kev Khayat.  I have asked him on more than one occasion to deal with immediate issues while also addressing systemic challenges and he has always delivered positive results.  There have even been situations where the issue was outside his background but I had no one else I could turn to and trust that would get the job done right other than Kev.  He has a common sense genius for cutting through the unimportant and getting right to the heart of an issue so it can be resolved."

My international story

Way back in the 1980s Kev swapped suburban Cleveland, Ohio for the London School of Economics, a Master's in Social Policy and a career in health services research and consulting,  Finding himself "up north" he joined Staffordshire Social Services just in time to implement performance management and metrics across the board.  He also learned words like "nesh" and "pikelet".  From there he led performance improvements in services ranging from careers advice, drug & alcohol treatment, child care and nursing care, culminating in leading the expansion of large scale primary care mental health services across the English Midlands.  In 2012 he returned to Ohio to join Cleveland Clinic Innovations and from 2014-17 led Cleveland Schools' Transformation Plan as well as campaigns to reduce chronic absenteeism and introduce summertime food programs.  He currently consults, coaches and trains in the nonprofit sector, both in person and online across the US, Canada and UK and hosts the Nonprofit Problem Solver podcast.
